Neighborhood Watch
Meeting on the second Tuesday of every other month, starting in January. Meets in the Community room in Unity Village, unless otherwise posted, at 6 pm. Please contact the BNA Community Organizer or Midtown Policing if you have an issue to bring to a meeting. The public is always welcome.

Social Services Work Group
Meets the third Tuesday of each month for a brown bag meeting at noon. Meets in the Community room in Unity Village, unless otherwise posted.
This is a group of neighbors and social service providers in Bayside, working to make the neighborhood a safe, clean and welcoming place. We are seeking ways for all to co-exist in a positive atmosphere.

Meets regularly at various locations. Writes, collects articles and information. Publishes the Baysider every other month. Promotes advertising.

Meets the third Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm in the community room at Unity Village. Plans events and community gatherings. Helps with Afterschool Art Program and Summer Children's Lunch Programs.

Housing Work Group
This group meets regularly, but at varied times. Call either co-chair for next meeting time and date. Meetings held at the Avesta Housing offices at 307 Cumberland Avenue.
The work of this committee ranges from organizing forums on pressing housing issues to actually negotiating the saving of a historic Bayside 1850s house. This is being re-habbed and will be available for a low income family in the winter of 2005-06.
